Board Games Online
“GrandGames Arena” is a free online service for playing board games of various genres. You can compete not only with other players but also with bots of different difficulty levels. Each game has a player ranking system based on ELO. You can play even without registration on any device: smartphone, computer, or tablet!
Creating a Table
To start playing, you can create a new table by selecting a game and the desired time control. You can set time per move, for example, 60 seconds per move. This means you are given a fixed amount of time for each new move. Alternatively, you can choose a total time for the game + extra time per move. For example, 5+3 means each player gets 5 minutes for the game, and 3 seconds are added per move. The maximum lag compensation is 1 second.
Joining a Game
You can join a table already created by a bot or another player. To do this, open the table and press the flashing button. Once the table is full, the game will start immediately. The first 15 seconds of the first move are not counted. In the first few moves, each player has the option to cancel the game.
Rating
Registered users in each game have a rating based on the ELO system. The starting rating is 1600. The bigger the rating difference between opponents, the less significant a loss is for the lower-rated player, and the more significant a win is for them. For each completed game, where a sufficient number of moves were made and the game wasn't canceled, the rating is recalculated.
Game Archive
Records of all completed games involving only registered players, without guests, are saved in the archive. Anyone interested can view the played games using a special player.
