Canadian Checkers Online

Canadian Checkers is a variant played on a 12×12 board with 30 pieces per player. Rules completely correspond to international draughts: regular pieces move forward one square, kings move any distance diagonally. Capturing is mandatory, when multiple options exist you must capture the maximum number of pieces (majority rule). The Turkish strike rule applies. If a regular piece reaches the king row during a capture and can continue capturing as a regular piece, it continues as regular. Canadian Checkers is a national sport in Canada, especially popular in French-speaking regions of Quebec and Ontario. The enlarged board makes the game more complex and lengthy.
